Body and Soul FITCAMP

Mission Statement

Equip every client with the tools required to combat the enemies of the body, soul and mind.   Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. -1 Peter 5:8 (KJB)

The Program

Spending 50 minutes a day under the watchful eye of someone who pushes you will change everything.  During each session, you will experience aerobic and strength- building exercises in a team atmosphere.  Competition will be employed as a psychological push, while making things more fun.  The design of this program is to give you functional fitness; with a balanced and healthy body.  A toned and healthy physique that carries you with more energy and a head held high is what we’re after.  If you’re looking for the bodies of Arnold Schwarzenegger or Kate Moss… please look elsewhere.

Who can benefit from this program?

All athletes who are looking to improve their speed, strength, and stamina -All women who want to tone up and slim down -All men who want to improve their energy, flexibility and strength -All seniors who want to regain a more active and healthy lifestyle -All School/University students who want a competitive athletic advantage or a place to meet new friends

What can we offer that your local gym can’t?

Motivated, educated, and highly trained instructors to push you at a relatively low price -Accountability with your goals (this is a big one…we will call you when you don’t show depending on your goal sheet) -Team atmosphere that supports and encourages you -A preset design for your workouts (just show up, and we’ll tell you what to do so you’ll get the most out of your time) -A friendly environment (despite the military flare, it’s designed for you to enjoy it)-An information pamphlet with valuable resources on the course concept, nutrition, exercise physiology, motivational psychology, and more.

Schedule concept

We do not believe health and fitness should come only in intervals.  Health and fitness should be a life-long process with evolving goals in mind along the way.  Instructors will learn your expressed goals, and take them seriously.  If you become a 2 month Grad, you WILL change, but we want your metamorphosis to become a permanent fixture, and far more advanced (i.e. stick with us).

Schedule

There are 2 available sessions per weekday (Friday training: morning  only).  Training sessions are 50 minutes in length.  You may choose to work out in the morning, early evening, or both (at no extra charge…your tough points are always rewarded here).

About Wilson Stooksberry

I grew up in Memphis, and truly love the area and the people.  I’ve been impassioned with fitness from an early age.  I spent 10 years at Kanakuk camp, a Christian athletic experience that is long renown.  My organized sports involvement has ranged from baseball and wrestling, to college football and rugby at the University of Mississippi, where I earned my BBA in finance.  My passion for fitness took a drastic turn in 2005, when I applied for tryouts in the Department of Defense’s most statistically challenging elite special operations job in its arsenal: USAF Pararescueman (PJ).

With a 90% washout rate, I knew it was time to learn the practical applications of ‘functional fitness’ with a serious mind.  In the two years it took to complete this training, our fitness game plan was handled directly under the same individuals who had designed Air Force - wide fitness routines, including those for NASA’s astronauts.  There is an intrinsic link between an individual’s fitness level, and their ability to function effectively under the challenges of each day.  I learned this with the tasks of my job as a PJ, which took me everywhere from trekking snow-covered mountains in the winter, jumping out of planes regularly, to extracting the injured from harm’s way in Afghanistan.

While transitioning out of the military with an honorable discharge in July 2010, I was left with the decision of my next ‘mission.’  While working as a battlefield tactics and medical instructor since my civilian life began, I realized how rewarding it would be to serve civilians –  the population sector that functionally makes the United States  the best country in the world.  Body and Soul was my answer.  I will bring the same commitment to you as I have with any other challenging endeavor I’ve undertaken.
